Hagibor Social Care Home<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hagibor<\/a><\/strong> is a flagship project of the Jewish Community of Prague and one of the largest social care initiatives in the country. The mission of the care home is to provide a wide range of social services to Holocaust survivors and their loved ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key social services include comfortable accommodation, nursing care, and quality meal. Social-therapeutic services are also provided, along with group and individual activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special emphasis is placed on an individual approach to each person and on preserving human dignity even in difficult life situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The care principles at Hagibor are rooted in the general values of Judaism. As a result, Jewish traditions are observed in the home, Jewish holidays are celebrated, and kosher meals are provided.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ezra<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Comprehensive in-home social care EZRA<\/strong><\/a> is a registered field-based social service of the personal assistance type, operated by the Jewish Community of Prague as a non-state healthcare provider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EZRA enables its clients to combine health and social care directly in their home environment\u2014sensitively tailored to their individual needs and life circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An integral part of this care is occupational therapy, which our association helps fund. Occupational therapy services are provided either upon recommendation from the attending physician or directly based on input from EZRA staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The occupational therapist visits clients either at home or in an institution (such as a hospital) and, after an initial assessment, develops an individual occupational therapy plan. This may include therapeutic exercises, counselling, recommendations for suitable assistive devices, and other supportive measures aimed at enhancing the client\u2019s independence and quality of life.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Rafael Institut<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rafael Institut<\/a><\/strong> brings together psychotherapists and professionals from helping fields who focus on the treatment and prevention of psychological trauma, including transgenerational transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some psychotherapists have personal or family experience with coping with trauma and are closely familiar with the processes of intergenerational transmission of trauma\u2014for example, from the Holocaust\u2014or have been working with this issue for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many years, the Rafael Institute has organized interdisciplinary conferences focused on the topic of trauma in various psychological, social, historical, and political contexts. The choice of themes usually reflects current societal events and is presented by experts from multiple fields.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Foundation for Holocaust Victims<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Foundation for Holocaust Victims<\/strong><\/a> (NFOH) provides endowment benefits for social and health care services with special attention to the needs of Holocaust survivors. The Fund also supports reconstruction, restoration and preservation of movable and immovable Jewish monuments in the Czech Republic and supports projects serving to commemorate Holocaust victims with dignity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JAS Agentura<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

JAS Agentura<\/a><\/strong> supports people facing difficult life situations caused by age, poor health, or adverse social circumstances. The aim of the care is to meet the users\u2019 basic needs with a focus on quality and the prevention of social exclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service enables clients to remain in their home environment for as long as possible. Activities include home and institutional visits, caregiving tasks in clients\u2019 households, social work, operation of a Senior Club, physical exercise and memory training, running errands for clients, and providing transport to medical appointments and public institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tikvah<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Home Care Agency Tikvah<\/a><\/strong> operating under the Jewish Community of Ostrava, focuses on the needs of Holocaust survivors. The service is provided in clients\u2019 homes and supports them in challenging life situations related to loneliness, old age, illness, or disability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People using home care services can remain in their own homes, live with dignity, and stay engaged in everyday social life. Tikvah helps meet their basic needs, provides social counselling, and supports the development of clients\u2019 personal abilities and skills through activation and educational programs aimed at social integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
